Beskrivelse:   af  John W. M. Jagt
The present specimen is unique in preserving a dense accumulations of ophiurid brittlestars and a few individuals of a starfish, in varying states of preservation, illustrating the various pathways of echinoderm taphonomy. Although brittle stars have long been known from the Mo Clay deposit (see e.g. Wienberg Rasmussen, 1972), the association with starfish is spectacular and much rarer, thus presenting a tantalising glimpse into seafloor life at the time of deposition of this unit. The specimens themselves are well enough preserved to allow them to be identified to genus, and species, and show features of mouth frame, margin plating and spine canopies that are important in classification. In the light of these attributes, the present find deserves to be fully analysed scientifically, properly described and published in a high-ranking journal. As such, it would need to be declared danekrae, and I recommend such action to be taken in this particular case.
